DDN Copyright Information

TITLE and URLs.

The name "The Digital Divide Network," and the two URLs 'digitaldividenetwork.org' and 'digitaldivide.net' are all copyright 2004 Education Development Center, Inc.

Creative Commons License Online Content. The content published by the Digital Divide Network is published under a Creative Commons License. Creative Commons is a method for content creators to assign copyright restrictions to their work. For example, a Creative Commons license allows you to state whether your work may be used freely for noncommercial purposes, or if it may be edited and republished by others.

Because DDN is an online community with many contributors, individual contributors may have different copyright restrictions for their work. For example, some may allow their DDN content to be republished; others may not. Because of this, we've set up the website so that contributors may select a Creative Commons license for the work they publish here on DDN, whether it's a feature article, blog, etc. Contributors who elect to use a particular type of license will have a Creative Commons logo, like the one shown above, displayed at the bottom of their article. If it's a blog, you'll see the logo displayed on the right side of the page.

All other content on the website, including news headlines, event listings and discussion boards, are published under a Creative Commons license with the following rules.

You are free to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work, as well as to make derivative works, under the following conditions:

  • Attribution. You must give the original author credit.

  • Non-commercial use only. You may not use this work for commercial purposes.

For any reuse or distribution, you must make clear to others the license terms of this work. Any of these conditions can be waived if you get permission from the Digital Divide Network.Your fair use and other rights are in no way affected by the above.
