One of the greatest benefits of this international web site (the Digital Divide Network web site) is the way it helps connect like-minded people locally. The DC-area community of the DDN web site is a chance for people in the Washington DC-area to learn about each other, exchange ideas, work on collaborative projects and organize gatherings and events. If you live or work in the Washington DC-area and are registered on this web site, thanks for joining this community. Events that are organized will be clearly visible on the front of the DDN web site under the "Events" listing.
