Social and Economic Justice: Discourse and Action Developed in collaboration with: Association for Community Networking (AFCN) |
Many of us come to this field motivated by a desire to advance social justice objectives. In many organizations we recognize social justice as an implicit aim. We want a more explicit discussion and statement. We've chose DDN as a place to house that discussion because of the explicit naming of a divide and a wish to remedy that divide, but we're not exclusively concerned with the "Digital".
Does the concept of social justice have a plurality of meanings?
let's explore that possibility.
Can we be more strategic in the use of community ICT to advance our social justice aspirations? How?

| Social and Economic Justice was the theme of one of the working groups convened at Open Space Austin April 29 & 30th. This is a brief statement of that session. While we are explicit in naming social and economic justice, we are committed to justice in the broadest sense and are concerned with everything from communication rights to the environmental movement. |
