VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) allows transmission of telephony communications as data over the Internet.
This community will provide support and guidance on broadband telephony issues, along with discussion promoting civic, consumer and community interest in regard to VoIP.
Specific VoIP applications, such as Asterisk conference calling can extend organizational and community capacity, and provide an impetus for deployment and adoption of broadband.
